Other Relaxation Techniques

How’s your progress so far in managing stress and living a life that is relaxed, calm, and full of positive energy? Aside from meditation and deep relaxation, here are some simple strategies to manage stress and even stop it before it gets started.

  • Visualisatiion
Visualization is like taking a vacation in your mind. You can go anywhere in the world and melt all the stress away using this technique. All you need to do is find a quiet place to be alone for a few minutes, close your eyes, and imagine that you’re lying on a tropical beach, say Hawaii, Malibu, or the Bahamas.Feel the sand beneath your body, the sun warming your skin, the cool breeze moving through your entire body. Visualization fills your mind with the imagery of your chosen place of peace. This eliminates other distractions and allows your body to relax. Doing this while you’re in a deeply relaxed state supercharges the effect.

  • Exercise
Aside from attaining a good set of abs and great arms, exercise gets those feel-good endorphins flowing, which will continue to benefit you long after you’re done exercising. The presence of endorphin lessens pain sensation, creates a feeling of euphoria, and enhances the immune system. Cardio-vascular exercise (e.g. a brisk 15 minute walk every day) is great to protect your brain from stress and switch it on.

  • Massage
True, massages aren’t exactly cheap, but even if you can only afford a monthly massage, it’s well worth every dollar for long term health. Massage, reduces tensions in your muscles (caused by stress), improves blood and lymph circulation, can decrease musculo-skeletal pain and improve mobility. Just human touch itself gives you a feeling of comfort and acceptance.

Go ahead and try it for yourself. Of course it’s still best for you to practice 2 – 3 strategies. You can start by downloading these two samples of my high-quality deep relaxation sessions and a free report (total value $29.95) absolutely for FREE.
